Emotionally Healthy Leaders

Description

What if you could be a part of an emotionally healthy team, where needs are expressed honestly, feelings shared safely, and trust is the foundation? That kind of leadership team would be both powerful and life-giving.

This group aims to introduce Christian leaders into the experience of greater emotional health as a team. Utilizing Peter Scazzero’s, The Emotionally Healthy Leader, as a springboard for conversation, participants will not only learn important concepts related to cultivating a healthier, more resilient emotional life, but actively engage in real-time sharing and practice around these topics. You and your team will leave with greater awareness, strength, and resilience.

Topics include:

  • The pitfalls of emotional unhealth

  • The inner life - polyvagal theory, trauma, family of origin, family systems, best practices

  • The outer life - decision-making, team culture, authority, boundaries, development

A Testimonial

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this group, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed and what our team needed. The opportunity to be intentional about our emotional health was invaluable, and has had ripple effects throughout our whole staff. My relationship with myself, my team, and others deepened in ways that I didn’t even know I needed. I’m so grateful for all of the work Watershed does to support those who work in the challenging and rewarding field of vocational ministry! - Shannon Pugh, Pastor at Irving Bible Church
