Getting to know Paul
Are you ready to take the next step in your story? I’m Paul McMullen, a compassionate counselor dedicated to walking alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and discover deeper healing. With a Master’s in Counseling from Concordia University - Irvine and a Master of Divinity from Harding School of Theology, I bring years of experience in fostering meaningful connections through my work as a counselor, coach, and group facilitator.
Style & Approach
I specialize in psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapy, working with males (12 and older), couples, and families. My approach is rooted in the belief that our past shapes us, but healing happens in the present through authentic relationships. Drawing from attachment theory, somatic therapy, internal family systems, and neuroscience, I create a safe, supportive space to explore your mind, body, spirit, and connections with others. Whether you’re working through pain, seeking personal growth, or longing for deeper relationships, I’m here to help you uncover your unique path forward.
My diverse experiences, from cross-cultural ministry in Vancouver, Canada, to coaching leaders and individuals from varied backgrounds, have taught me the power of tailored, empathetic support. Clients value my ability to listen deeply, offer practical insights, and foster transformative growth in a non-judgmental environment.
Let’s start your journey together. Contact me for a free consultation to explore how we can work toward healing, growth, and connection in your life. Your story matters, and I’m here to help you write the next chapter.
Fun Facts
Outside of counseling, I’m a husband to Julie, my wife of 20 years, and a proud dad to two lively sons, ages 15 and 13. In 2021, I founded WellSpring Process Groups, a group coaching experience that helps people delve deeper into relational support and connection. In my free time, you’ll find me sipping coffee, coaching my kids’ basketball teams, or sharing meaningful conversations with friends.
