Getting to know Jamie

For over a decade, I’ve worked with children and teens, and more recently as a certified school counselor, supporting them through challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, coping difficulties, and grief. My experience in education, particularly with at-risk populations, has deepened my commitment to making a difference. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I’m expanding my practice to include adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families. I have a special interest in grief therapy, an area I’m continually growing as a specialty, helping clients navigate loss with care and resilience.

As a dedicated counselor, I bring empathy, trust, and a holistic approach to every client I serve. My passion lies in building strong relationships that empower individuals to become the best versions of themselves. With expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a focus on the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—I guide my clients toward healing and growth with compassion and understanding.

Style and Approach

After sessions with me, clients can expect to feel truly heard, understood, and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental space. It is my hope that my empathic approach helps you build trust and confidence, whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or life’s everyday challenges. Together, we’ll use practical tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful patterns, while looking at the whole you—your emotions, experiences, and goals—to uncover your strengths and resilience.

Whether you’re facing life’s pressures, a couple seeking connection, or someone processing grief, I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space to help you thrive.

You’ll leave with a clearer sense of direction, personalized strategies to cope and grow, and a renewed belief in your ability to become the best version of yourself. Whether you’re a child processing big feelings, a teen facing tough transitions, an adult seeking balance, a senior reflecting on life, or a couple or family rebuilding connection, my goal is to empower you with hope and actionable steps toward healing.

Fun Facts

When I am not counseling I love spending time with my family, friends, and of course my 3 dogs. My son likes to keep us busy with all of his sports and performances. I have always had a great passion for sports, and always stay loyal to my teams. When I need to “getaway” I like to read, watch movies and enjoy sunshine!
