Getting to know Teresa

Therapist Teresa Ansell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Teresa works with individual adults and couples at Lifeologie Counseling Cedar Hill and is dedicated to meeting people wherever they are without judgment, discovering their strengths, and encouraging and supporting them as they navigate the path to where they want to be.

Teresa is passionate about restoring hope for those experiencing the harder parts of life. She specializes in relationship repair, addictions, codependency, problematic sexual behaviors, anxiety, OCD, neurodivergence, attachment difficulties, and recovery from trauma and abuse

As a counselor for many years within the Criminal Justice system, Teresa brings a wealth of experience guiding clients as they learn to break free from negative cycles of addiction, shame, and abuse, establish healthy boundaries, and transform their lives. Her approach blends Cognitive Behavior Therapy, family systems work, and trauma-informed care into a holistic approach that centers on listening and fully understanding each client’s unique situation and needs. Teresa believes finding a therapist you can trust and connect with is the most important step in getting help. She strives to provide a safe space for vulnerability and healing.
