Watershed Initiative began right here. We launched out of Chase Oaks Church in 2018 with a vision to strengthen and heal our communities — and that partnership is still going strong today. We've served the Plano-Richardson area ever since with counseling that's clinically excellent, biblically grounded, and genuinely compassionate.

Meet Our Richardson Team

Our Richardson team includes experienced licensed counselors who bring clinical skill and personal faith to each session.


What Makes Us Different

There are a lot of therapists in the Richardson area. Here's what sets Watershed Initiative apart:

  • Faith-integrated. Every Watershed counselor is a committed Christ-follower with an active faith and local church involvement.

  • Clinically excellent. Our therapists are licensed professionals (LPCs and LMFTs) trained in evidence-based methods including EMDR, CBT, EFT, and more. Faith doesn't replace clinical expertise but deepens it.

  • Community-rooted. We partner with churches across Dallas, Austin, and Houston to provide counseling that the whole community can trust. Many of our therapists have backgrounds in ministry, which means they understand the unique pressures of church life and leadership.

  • Collaborative. When you work with one Watershed counselor, you get the expertise of the whole team. We consult on complex cases and support one another so you receive the best possible care.

The entrance to our main building is next to Shine Pediatrics. When you arrive at our office, please make yourself at home in our waiting room and your Watershed counselor will greet you at your scheduled appointment time.
