Getting to know Katrina

Katrina (Katy) Kauffman works with adolescents, emerging adults, and adults who often appear to have it all together while privately feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. She specializes in working with women balancing the demands of family, faith, work, and caring for others; adolescents in high-pressure academic environments facing anxiety, depression, and burnout; young adults navigating life transitions; and parents of children with special needs. She is especially drawn to supporting people carrying heavy responsibilities and doing their best to hold everything together.

Katy's faith is an integral part of who she is and how she sees the world.  She is a wife, mom, former Dietitian and small business owner, and a recovering perfectionist who understands that life doesn't always follow a straight path and that we were never meant to navigate life's burdens alone. Her approach helps clients slow down, recognize unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with what matters most—their values, beliefs, relationships, and sense of purpose—so they can move forward with greater clarity and confidence. She believes healing involves the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and the deeper questions of meaning and identity that shape how we live and where we place our hope.

Currently completing her clinical training at Texas Woman's University, Katy's journey has been shaped by a desire to integrate her faith and her clinical background to better serve those around her. As a clinical intern, she provides highly individualized, closely supervised care at an accessible rate.

Fun Facts

Outside the therapy room, you'll usually find Katy with her family, immersed in creative projects, or reading and obsessively adding to a "to read" pile that has grown far beyond what one person can reasonably finish. She believes deeply in the hope found in Christ, the healing that can come through meaningful relationships and community, and the idea that resilience is cultivated over time. Even in life's hardest seasons, she believes people were never meant to carry their burdens alone and that growth and hope are possible, even in the midst of suffering.
