Getting to know Jada
Jada E. Jackson is a Licensed Profession Counselor with over 10 years of professional work experience. Jada works with individuals and families to help navigate the challenges of life – whether they are personal, with family members, or with peers. She has training and experience in the areas of stress and anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, transitions and adjustments, self-esteem, parenting skills, pre-marital and marriage counseling. Jada is highly skilled in awakening awareness and insight, encouraging action, fostering healing, and supporting individuals and families in changing their lives. Jada believes helping is an honor, therapy is a collaborative journey, and that we all are choice makers.
Jada also is an ordained minister who has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1988. She has served full-time as the Pastor of Congregational Care and Counseling at Christ Community since 2014 and serves in numerous other leadership roles at the church. Jada also is the Executive Director of RISE UP! Counseling Center, a 501(c)(3) organization; and, is the founder and President of her own firms: Morning After Counseling Services and Morning After Coaching Services. She also is a member of the American Counseling Association and has served as a hospital/prison chaplain and as a certified disaster relief chaplain through the Victim Relief Chaplaincy Program.
Jada holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Carolina University of Theology, a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Capital Bible Seminary, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. She currently is working toward a Master of Science degree in Family Studies from Amberton University to equip families and communities. Jada is passionate about educating and bringing awareness about mental health to people in all walks of life, not only locally, but also nationally and abroad – including in Ghana, West Africa, where she provided lay counseling training to pastors’ wives and leaders.
Jada considers it an honor and privilege to be used by God in His service. She knows that it takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps toward change. Jada believes in treating every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and tailors dialogue and treatment plans to meet each client’s unique and specific needs. Jada seeks to live a life that reflects her love and appreciation to Jesus Christ for all He has done for her, while empowering and encouraging others to live their best lives.
